Donnelly

In the winter, miles of groomed trails are available for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, with downhill skiing available at Tamarack.

Welcome to Donnelly

Donnelly sits right across the lake from Tamarack Ski Resort, and boasts a genuine small-town appeal while being the gateway to year-round outdoor adventures. It is 14 miles from McCall and 16 miles to Cascade.  From mountain biking to snowmobiling to huckleberry festivals, Donnelly has a little something special for everyone.  Located on the northeast shore of the 26,307-acre Lake Cascade (Cascade Reservoir), which has approximately 86 miles of total shoreline, Donnelly offers that coveted lakeside property you are looking for!

Situated next door to Tamarack and Jug Mountain Resorts, each within a few miles, visitors will find no shortage of golf and horseback riding in the summer, and miles of groomed trails in the winter for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing or downhill skiing.  The surrounding areas are a prime destination for snowmobilers.  The lake often freezes most winters, hop on your snowmobile to cross the lake to the lifts at Tamarack...this is Idaho living.  Imagine not having to drive and park to ski!

Lake Cascade may be Donnelly’s most famous body of water, but it's not the only one: nearby Payette River offers fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. Don't forget Riggins and the Salmon River just 45 minutes away offering year-round fishing.   And, warmer months also bring golfers to the Donnelly, with eight different golf courses within a few miles of town.

Beyond outdoor adventure, Donnelly is well-known for its lively festival scene. Each August brings the much-anticipated Huckleberry Festival, and the nearby historic settlement of Roseberry hosts music nights, arts and crafts fairs, and ice cream socials throughout the summer and holidays.  Superb restaurants at Tamarack Resort and Jug Mountain, and Gold Fork Hot Springs just down the road.
