Cascade offers year-round outdoor sports and recreation for everyone. Cascade Lake is well known for its excellent fishing. It is home to Kelly’s Whitewater Park, recognized by many kayaking athletes as one of the premier whitewater parks in the country. For winter sports enthusiasts, the Cascade area has over 800 miles of groomed snowmobile trails as well as 27 km of Nordic ski trails. The City also hosts several invitational softball tournaments at its sports park which includes two baseball diamonds, a football field, a picnic area, a playground, and a concession stand and is also home to Fischers Pond with public fishing. Hunting, camping, hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, and rafting are just a few of the outdoor recreational opportunities available in the summer months.

Cascade is the gateway to the Frank Church Wilderness area. Backcountry ranches are accessible from the Cascade Airport, with approximately 4700 ft of paved and lighted runway.
